For those who are not familiar with the location of our Greenway birding walks, here is a map of the Little Tennessee River Greenway. The Greenway begins on the west side of the Little Tennessee off of Hwy 28 on the north side of Franklin. It continues south as a walking/biking trail for four miles. Parking and access to the trail is available at various locations. Starting points for birdwalks may include Suli Marsh (reached off of NC 28), Salali Lane (reached by turning onto Fox Ridge Rd. off of Highlands Rd., and the Library/Tartan trail (reached at the library off of Siler Rd.) A map and further directions can be found at FROG (Friends of the Greenway) Headquarters on Main Street at the river.
