Greenway walks have ended for 2018.  But great sightings continue, like these from Barbara McRae.

“I went down to the Greenway this morning and saw the Common Goldeneye again – and a girlfriend with him. If anyone wants to see them, it seems the best time is around 8:30. You have to keep your eyes peeled, but it’s worth it.”

A pair of Common Goldeneyes, not previously seen in Franklin. A single duck was spotted during the Christmas Bird Count.  Barbara later saw the pair in the area north of Big Bear.

Have a great winter of bird watching and we’ll see you in April, 2019.
